FRANKIE BALLARD ANNOUNCES SPECIAL 24-HOUR STREAM OF NEW ALBUM EL RIO EXCLUSIVELY ON APPLE MUSIC CONNECT TODAY

NASHVILLE, TN (April 22, 2016) – Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville’s Frankie Ballard, in a first-of-its-kind partnership with Apple Music, is streaming his new album El Rio today in its entirety for a full 24 hours on Apple Music Connect. The album is also available for pre-order beginning today and is set to release everywhere on June 10. Named one of Rolling Stone’s “35 Most Anticipated Country Albums of 2016,” El Rio was recorded at the famed Sonic Ranch, just south of El Paso in Tornillo, Texas. A six minute documentary piece entitled “Journey To Sonic Ranch: The Making Of El Rio” chronicles the record-making process in Texas where Ballard, his bandmates and his producer Marshall Altman immersed themselves in creating this album 24/7.

Fans who pre-order the album today will receive an instant grat track of “It All Started With A Beer” and “El Camino.” The first 250 pre-orders placed through his official online store will receive a limited edition autographed copy of the El Rio poster.

    El Rio Track Listing
    1. El Camino (Lee Thomas Miller, Chris Stapleton)
    2. Cigarette (Kip Moore, Chris Stapleton, Jaren Johnston)
    3. Waste Some Of Mine (Jimmy Yeary, Craig Wiseman)
    4. Little Bit Of Both (Ben Hayslip, Chris Janson, Craig Wiseman)
    5. L.A. Woman (Frankie Ballard, Brad Warren, Brett Warren)

    7. Sweet Time (Frankie Ballard, Jaren Johnston, Jon Nite)
    8. Good As Gold (Mando Saenz, Justin Bogart)
    9. Southern Side (Monty Criswell, Rick Huckaby)
    10. You’ll Accomp’ny Me (Bob Seger)
    11. You Could’ve Loved Me (Dustin Christensen, Chris Gelbuda)

The album’s debut single, “It All Started With A Beer,” is nearing Top 20 at country radio and tells the story of a relationship that’s grown over time despite the bumps life offers along the way. "On the surface, it’s a love story about two folks meeting in a bar and having a beer,” says Ballard of the track. “From there, the relationship blossomed into something long lasting and now they’re looking back, going, 'Man, look at this great relationship we got, and it started so simply, with just a beer.' So many people can relate to the idea," Ballard says. "But also, one of the deeper meanings of that song is sometimes the biggest shit that happens to you in life doesn’t start in a big way. That makes me hopeful for the future."
